TORONTO — Mayoral candidate John Tory will be guest producer of the second hour of Global’s The Morning Show on Wednesday.
Tory will also sit in on chat segments with co-hosts Liza Fromer, Kris Reyes, Rosey Edeh, and Antony Robart.
The 60-year-old candidate, who is currently polling ahead of Doug Ford and Olivia Chow, also curated the music that will be used on the show from 7 to 8 a.m.
He chose CFL commissioner Mark Cohon as the interview subject.
“Mr. Tory has been in front of the cameras and on debate podiums for months. Now, with less than a week left in the election campaign, we look forward to talking to Mr. Tory about the lighter side of politics and getting a more personal take on the issues and what inspired him to run for Toronto’s top job,” said executive producer Alexandra Henderson.
Viewers can join the conversation and post questions for Tory at Facebook.com/morningshowto.
Chow guest-produced her own hour of The Morning Show on Oct. 17.
Ford initially accepted an offer from the show but then backed out. Producers hope he will change his mind before the Oct. 27 election.
The Toronto edition of The Morning Show airs from 6 to 9 a.m. on Global.
