At 7:15 we welcome singer-songwriter and front man of the great Canadian band Great Big Sea Alan Doyle to the red table. The musician and actor and now author is in town promoting his new book “Where I Belong”, an honest and hilarious look at growing up in small town Newfoundland.

In a couple weeks you will start to see more dusters, handlebars, and caterpillars around Halifax as the calendar changes to MOVEMBER. At 7:45 we’ll be joined by the head of Movember Canada, Peter Bombaci, to find out what’s new in 2014 for mo bros and mo sistas.

And our favorite Halifax physician will join us at 8:15 with lots of useful tips about flu season. Dr. Howard Conter is coming prepared too, with flu shots for everyone, on set that is. You won’t want to miss his helpful insight into the most dreaded season of all.

At 8:45 we’ll introduce you to some new music when we talk with Halifax pop sensation Vogue Dots. The Halifax duo has a brand new album and will be playing at the Halifax Pop Explosion Festival. Their sound is described as dreamy and lush with smooth beats. You’ll be grooving to their music soon after hearing it.
