West Island police arrest door-to-door fraudster

The woman was seen previously in June knocking on doors claiming to raise money for the Alzheimer's and Dementia Foundation (which doesn't exist) and the Heart and Stroke Foundation. She drives a silver Honda Civic.

MONTREAL – Police have arrested a 35-year-old woman on charges of fraud in Pointe-Claire.

For months, the woman would allegedly knock on doors in the West Island to solicit money under false pretences.

She pretended to represent a variety of charitable organizations and ask residents to donate to the cause.
