KELOWNA — You may wonder why, or even how someone can pull a city transit bus, but it’s all happening in Kelowna and it’s all for a good cause.
The inaugural United Way Bus Pull took over the Queensway bus loop, with teams of eight using all their mite to pull the vehicles.
The United Way supports nearly 30 local non-profit organizations every year throughout the Okanagan.
The event is one of many fundraisers going on throughout the year in support of the United Way. It’s goal this year is to raise $1.5-million with all the money staying local.
Before this year the United Way did a similar fundraiser, except teams pulled an airplane instead of a city bus.
