TORONTO – The intersection of McCowan Road and Sheppard Avenue East in Scarborough has partially reopened to traffic following a gas leak on Wednesday.

UPDATE: Southbound McCowan Road is now OPEN and 1 Westbound lane on Sheppard Ave E is OPEN. ^AG

UPDATE: Sheppard Ave E is now OPEN in both directions at McCowan Rd. Still can NOT go northbound McCowan from Sheppard though. ^AG

The leak forced the closures of McCowan Road between Nugget Avenue to Pitfield Road and Sheppard Avenue East from Shorting Road to Brownspring Road.
