Okanagan Sun prepare for BCFC playoffs

KELOWNA– The Okanagan Sun are preparing for the BCFC semi final game this Sunday.

They host the Vancouver Island Raiders, a team they’ve beaten three times this season.

A playoff victory is never a sure thing though.

Like the Sun, the Raiders are peaking as they head into the post season.

The Okanagan Sun have a lot of weapons, quality players that have earned them an 8 – 1 record this season.

Sun running back, Alex Bradley leads the league with an impressive 683 yards in seven games.

Bradley is one of seven Sun players named Conference All Stars.

Bradley is supported by a strong, very physical offensive line.

As they’ve done all season, the Sun will rely heavily on the run game this weekend.

Coaching staff also have high expectations for defense and special teams.

Head Coach Shane Beatty says victory will come down to limiting penalties and eliminating mental errors.

The Okanagan Sun take on the Vancouver Island Raiders this Sunday at the Apple Bowl.

Kick off is at 1 pm.

Tickets are available online or at the gate.
