KELOWNA — The BMO Okanagan Marathon is marking a milestone in Kelowna, going strong for 20 years. Marathoners hit the pavement Sunday morning, but the weekend of festivities kicked off Saturday with the kids 1-kilometer run and 5-kilometer fun run for all ages.

This year the designated charity for the event is the Sunshine Foundation of Canada which is an organization that helps dreams come true for children with severe physical disabilities. Saturday afternoon, BMO donated $15,000 to the organization.
Runners taking part in the marathon, half-marathon and 10-kilometer races hit the pavement Sunday morning.
