TORONTO – Below is a list of what is open and closed for Thanksgiving Monday in the Toronto area.

CLOSED:

Breaking news from Canada and around the world sent to your email, as it happens.
  • Government offices
  • Libraries
  • Banks
  • Most retail stores and shopping centres including Sherway Gardens, Yorkdale Mall
  • Art Gallery of Ontario
  • LCBO and Beer Stores

OPEN:

  • TTC and GO Transit will operate on a holiday schedule
  • Major attractions such as the Toronto Zoo, Science Centre, CN Tower, Ripley’s Aquarium of Canada
  • Select shopping centres: Eaton Centre, Vaughan Mills, Pacific Mall
  • Retailers along Yonge Street and other areas designated as tourist attractions
