REGINA – Police are investigating a serious assault that happened in Regina’s Heritage area early Wednesday morning and sent three people to hospital.
Police were called to a residence on the 1500 block of 12th Avenue where they found three men seriously injured.
A 46-year-old man and 64-year-old man were rushed to hospital with serious and possibly life-threatening injuries. The third victim, a 60-year-old man was also seriously injured, but his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
Elizabeth Popowich with the Regina Police Service explained that the incident is not believed to be a random attack.
“It’s an aggravated assault and we believe a weapon was used, but we can say at this stage we don’t believe it’s a knife or firearm, but some sort of weapon used to inflict injury on the three victims.”
