FREDERICTON – New Brunswick Premier Brian Gallant has unveiled his cabinet.
Gallant was sworn in Tuesday after his Liberals won 27 seats in last month’s provincial election, ousting the Progressive Conservatives from power.
A number of veterans have been appointed to his cabinet, including Roger Melanson, who will preside over finance, Victor Boudreau to health and Donald Arseneault, who becomes the energy minister.
Gallant’s cabinet includes 13 ministers including himself, down from the 18 ministers that were at the cabinet table in the previous government.
The Tories have 21 seats while the Greens have one member elected, a first for the party.
