TORONTO – Police have arrested two Toronto men for allegedly possessing marijuana-laced brownies with the intention of selling them to youth in East York.
The 18-year-old men, identified as Waleed Mohamed and Moshan Afzal, have both been charged with possession of marijuana and possession for the purpose of trafficking.
Officers from Toronto’s Anti−Violence Intervention Strategy team arrested the accused on Sept. 29 in the Parma Court and Wakunda Place area where they were spotted in possession of eight pounds of wrapped brownies infused with marijuana.
It is alleged the men were planning to sell them to youth in the community and to students at a nearby high school.
Police are reminding the public to be careful of potentially dangerous narcotics being used and concealed in various forms.
