Stolen vehicle wedged in Saskatoon pedestrian walkway

SASKATOON – The driver of a stolen vehicle managed to wedge it into a pedestrian walkway Monday morning.

Saskatoon police were alerted about the vehicle being driven in a suspicious manner in the 2300-block of 33rd Street West just after 7:30 a.m.

The witness told police the driver, described as a teen male, was driving with a flat tire in an alley behind a convenience store.

The driver then hit a fence and drove away.

Police located the vehicle about 20 minutes later wedged in the pedestrian underpass on 29th Street.

It had been reported stolen overnight.

Police continue to investigate.
