Nanaimo RCMP are investigating after human remains were found Sunday afternoon.
The body was found in the vicinity of Millstone Creek around 1 p.m. by a man out for a walk.

RCMP Forensic officers and the BC Coroners Service attended and retrieved the body.
The remains were subject to extensive decomposition and appear to have been in the water for some time.
They were taken to Nanaimo Regional General Hospital, and a forensic autopsy is expected to be completed some time this week.
