Moose Jaw Police and staff finally have a new contract after 4 years

MOOSE JAW, Sask. – It took almost four years of negotiations, but police in Moose Jaw have reached a contract settlement with their civilian staff.

The five-year deal is retroactive to January 2012 and provides for increases in wages, shift premiums and health benefits.

The workers’ previous agreement expired at the end of 2011.

Moose Jaw police Chief Rick Bourassa says he’s glad a deal has been reached so that everyone’s full attention can again be focused on police work.
