Police issue update after three separate deaths in city’s southeast

CALGARY – Police say the deaths of two men whose bodies were discovered in the city’s southeast on Tuesday aren’t criminal in nature.

The first body was discovered in a white car parked at an Inglewood truck stop around 11:30 a.m.

The second body was found in a vehicle parked in the 4900 block of Barlow Trail S.E. a few hours later.

While police have now concluded their investigation into those two deaths, they are still investigating a third death discovered on the same day.

Officers say the death of a third man found in a gravel pit near Peigan Trail / Barlow Trail and Deerfoot Trail S.E., is still classified as ‘undetermined.’

Police have identified him as 46-year-old Troy Michael Rawcliffe and are providing the following description:

An autopsy has been completed, but police are withholding his cause of death as they continue their investigation.

They aren’t yet sure of the specific date of Rawcliffe’s death, and are looking to the public for more information on his movements in the past few weeks or months.
