Thursday Sept. 25th on The Morning News

If you’ve watched Foodie Tuesday at all in 2014, you know it’s been a great  year for food in our province and now Taste of Nova Scotia is set to hand out their Prestige Awards for the year and they need your help. At 6:45 we’ll chat with Emily Haynes from Taste of NS to tell us all the details.

Even though the weather is getting colder, you can still enjoy hot jazz in Halifax.  At 7:15 Lulu Healy of JazzEast comes in to tell us about the exciting fall lineup.

Maybe it’s a sign of the times, but you don’t see many hand-painted signs anymore.  At 7:45 we chat about a screening of the documentary Sign Painters with Graphic Designers of Canada Atlantic.
Breaking news from Canada and around the world sent to your email, as it happens.

At 8:15 Susan MacIntosh from Props Floral Designs will be by for her regular Stems with Susan segment. She’ll show us another unique flower design we can do at home, using some locally grown flowers.

In case you missed it, Thursday is National One-Hit Wonder day, paying homage to every artist that’s given us that one massively hit song and nothing since. It just so happens that local MC Mike Boyd has released a song called “One Hit Wonder” just in time for this special day. At 8:45 Mike stops by talk about the song, the new album,  and just what it’s really like touring with his brother Classified.
