Homes evacuated after natural gas line ruptured in Saskatoon

SASKATOON – Half a dozen homes were evacuated Wednesday after a high pressure gas line was ruptured in Saskatoon’s Rosewood neighbourhood.

Just before 2 p.m., the Saskatoon Fire Department responded to a natural gas leak on Pichler Crescent.

Fire crews set up a perimeter and did testing of the outside area. They also evacuated six homes in the immediate area and completed gas monitoring within the buildings.

SaskEnergy is currently on scene assessing the damage.

No injuries have been reported.
