WINNIPEG — A cyclist has been rushed to hospital after she was struck by a station wagon driving west on Sargent Avenue Tuesday morning.
The cyclist was pedalling north on Victor Street when the car hit her, smashing the car’s windshield and ripping the front tire off the bike, witnesses said.
“It made a cracking sound,” said Marcos Ramirez. “It was in slow motion.”
One of the cyclist’s shoes remained on the scene along with several cans of Molson Dry.
The front tire of the bike rolled about four metres from the crash scene.
