WINNIPEG- Nearly 9,000 lucky ticket holders will get a preview inside the Canadian Museum for Human Rights this weekend.
Four of the museum’s 11 galleries can be viewed with a ticket. The tours are designed for the public to get a glimpse of the full museum experience, which will be available September 27.
“The museum was amazing and I think this is a great tribute to anyone who has done anything for human rights,” said one of the ticket holders, Giselle Valdez-Soc. “I love the fact that it is in Winnipeg which is the centre of Canada.”
The guided preview tours are part of the museum’s opening ceremonies and will each be one hour long. Limited walk-up opportunity spots may be available for those who were not able to reserve a ticket.
“Experiencing it first hand is probably something that people will take with them for the rest of their life,” said Valdez-Soc.
