Vancouver police are warning the public of a high-risk offender that has completed his sentence and is living in Vancouver.
Richard Ian Ellis, 66, was convicted in 2007 for child pornography and sexually assaulting a seven-year-old girl.
Police believe Ellis poses a risk of significant harm to the safety of young girls.
He is described as white, 5’10” tall and 200 lbs with brown hair and hazel eyes.
Ellis has a series of conditions he must abide by: he cannot have a computer for accessing the internet; cannot be around children under the age of 18; he must have no contact with the victim; no consumption of alcohol or drugs and he must report all relationships.
Vancouver police are asking anyone who witnessed Ellis violating any of these conditions to call 9-1-1.
