TORONTO — What would it take to get Dave Coulier and his co-stars to reprise their Full House roles for a reboot of the popular sitcom?

“The word barrel comes to mind. Like a barrel of money,” he said Friday. “A boatload. How about a boat with barrels of money stacked on top?”

Coulier, who turns 55 on Sunday, played Joey on Full House for eight seasons, ending in 1995.

“We don’t want to taint the legacy of a show that we think really struck a chord with a lot of generations of kids who are now adults and now their kids are watching the show,” he said during an appearance on Global’s The Morning Show.

“We don’t want to ruin that and it would be real easy to ruin it.”

Coulier said he remains close to the cast, including Bob Saget, John Stamos and Candace Cameron Bure.

“Mary-Kate and Ashley [Olsen] are in New York, the rest of us are on the west coast so we get to see each other a lot,” he explained. “We really did become a real dysfunctional family.”

Some of his co-stars were on hand for Coulier’s wedding to photographer Melissa Bring in July.

“They really are my family. I know that sounds so cheesy but we are extremely close.”

Coulier, who is currently on a stand-up comedy tour, said all was not as squeaky clean as it appeared on the set of Full House.

“We were adults,” he said. “When we were working with the kids we were kid-friendly, but we’re adults and… you know. John, Bob and myself, we had our moments. There were a lot of shenanigans that happened.”

Coulier said he pokes fun at the premise of the series that made him a star.

“Three straight guys raising three little girls in San Francisco. That could really happen in real life,” he joked. “We didn’t tell you but the three of us are married.”

And where is Joey Gladstone today?

“He’s married to Kimmy Gibbler,” Coulier replied, “and they’re raising emus in North Dakota.”
