LETHBRIDGE – It was a productive day for Alberta NDP leadership candidate Rachel Notley.
Notley held a press conference at Urban Grocer in Lethbridge this morning to announce several endorsements to her campaign.
Lethbridge West NDP Candidate Shannon Phillips has agreed to side with the Edmonton native, along with several local business owners.
When asked why she is the best candidate for Lethbridge and southern Alberta, Notley said “People are looking for a change, and in Lethbridge we’re putting forwards excellent candidates and we’ve got an excellent organization which has built up over the past few years. So we are the party for people who are looking to for progressive change, to give their vote to, and I’m excited to have the opportunity to lead that party.”
Notley is the perceived front runner in the NDP’s provincial race, having already secured another high-profile endorsement from fellow NDP MLA Deron Bilous last month.
