WINNIPEG – Chef Robert Irvine is known for his tough-love approach when it comes to helping out failing restaurateurs.
His hit Food Network show, Restaurant: Impossible, overhauls businesses from top to bottom in just 48 hours and uses a $10,000 budget.
Now, the chef is taking a unique cooking demo on the road, where the audience chooses the challenge.
Irvine doesn’t know what he’ll be cooking or what twist will be thrown at him; everything from having one arm handcuffed behind him to being blindfolded.
On Friday, Irvine was in Winnipeg for the first time as part of the Canadian tour stops.
The chef spends 345 days a year, or 95 percent of his time, on the road.
Irvine had a few tips to share with our Global News reporter to help those at home get the most for the money, prepare some quick and easy meals and to encourage all to reach out a hand and help others.
