Victim of Clinton shooting identified as Etobicoke executive

TORONTO – The vice president of an Etobicoke construction company has been identified as the victim of a shooting in Huron County.

Don Frigo, a 70-year-old business executive at Hady Construction Group, was shot dead while riding a horse with his wife in Clinton on Saturday.

OPP Det. Sgt. Chris Avery said Monday Frigo was approached by an unknown male and shot.  Police have not released any information on suspects.

The London Free Press reportedly spoke with colleagues of Frigo’s who said they are “in a daze.”

“This is not something anybody is prepared to receive — news like this. It’s very sad,” Peter Naccarato told the newspaper.

Clinton is a small community of roughly 3,000 people approximately 76 kilometres northwest of London.
