YORKTON, Sask. – A woman has died from injuries she suffered in a crash near Yorkton, Sask. over the weekend.
The crash happened Saturday around 6:50 p.m. on Highway 52, one kilometre west of Yorkton.
Mounties say an eastbound Chevy Cobalt driven by a 27-year-old woman crossed the centre line and collided head-on with a semi hauling a trailer.
The woman was taken to Yorkton hospital and then airlifted by STARS to a hospital in Regina.
She passed away on Wednesday. Her name is not being released at the request of her family.
The driver of the semi was not injured.
Yorkton RCMP continue to investigate the cause of the deadly crash.
