NORTH BATTLEFORD, Sask. – A man has been charged after he allegedly threatened to damage a bridge in North Battleford, Sask. Wednesday morning.
Mounties were alerted early in the morning about an online threat the man made to damage the bridge around 8 a.m.
Police say steps were immediately taken to ensure the safety of the bridge and no devices or means of carrying out the alleged threats were found.
A check confirmed the man’s identity and he was arrested at a residence around 7 a.m.
The 18-year-old man is facing a charge of uttering threats and is scheduled to appear in court Wednesday morning. His name has not been released.
North Battleford RCMP continue to investigate.
