Kelowna department store victim of jewellery thieves

KELOWNA, B.C. – An August break in at the Kelowna Hudson’s Bay department store netted thieves $176,000 retail value in jewellery, according to RCMP who have released details of the B&E.

RCMP say two men and a woman broke into The Hudson’s Bay at Orchard Park Mall in the early morning hours of August 19th.

A getaway vehicle was parked at the Cooper Road entrance, say police, where the suspects entered the store using tools to remove door locks.

The purse and jewellery departments in the store were targeted.

Items stolen include:
– Movado Brand watches
– 18 K white gold Diamond Cluster ring
– Various diamond rings
– Bulova Ladies diamond, steel and white watches
– Bulova Ladies bracelets
– Bulova Mens watches
– Sapphire necklaces and rings
– Various 14 karat gold and white gold diamond earrings and pendants
– Ruby rings

The suspects have not been located and RCMP are now asking the public for help.

The suspects are described as:

Male 1
– Short in stature
– wearing a brown jacket, grey baseball cap
– Face hidden by cloth

Male 2
– Taller in stature
– wearing black pants, grey top
– face hidden by cloth

Female
– Slender
– wearing black top, black pants and black cap
– light coloured face scarf

Suspect Vehicle described as:
– Has the body style consistent of a Jeep Cherokee, particularly the front grill
– Has a sunroof
– No front license plate
– Vehicle is lighter in colour (not white)
