Police search for driver who fled scene after Hwy 401 crash in Whitby

TORONTO – Police are searching for a driver involved in a collision on eastbound Highway 401 near Whitby early Thursday morning.

Police say a van and a tractor-trailer collided on the 401 near Brock Street around 2:30 a.m.

The van rolled into a marshy area near the highway while the tractor-trailer jack-knifed.

The driver of the van left the scene of the accident and so far there are no reports of injuries.
