EDMONTON – Police are investigating to determine whether or not alcohol was a factor in a west Edmonton collision Friday.
Police were called to a two-vehicle collision on Yellowhead Trail near 142 Street around 8:30 p.m. Officers say the crash caused one of the vehicles to roll over.
One of the drivers involved in the collision fled the scene on foot. The Edmonton Police Service Canine Unit and Air 1 were called in to help locate the driver.
Police say the driver was hiding in a nearby bush. He was apprehended by police.
