MONTREAL – A 13-month-old baby was transported to hospital and remains in critical condition after being found in a backyard pool.
Police said the incident happened behind a building on Parkville Ave. in Hochelaga-Maisonneuve.

Constable Francois Collard said the little boy was left alone for about 5 minutes before accidentally falling into the pool.
The child’s mother is being treated for shock.
