Suspicious device found near Atwater causes false alarm

MONTREAL – A swat team spent the morning near Cabot Square on Atwater after a bomb scare early Thursday.

At around 4:30am police received a call about a suspicious package left on the stairs of an office building on Tupper street.

Atwater was closed in both directions until about 6:30 while the bomb squad analysed the device.

Police later confirmed that the package was not explosive.
