TSB en route after large container ship strikes dock in Vancouver

The Transportation Safety Board is sending two investigators to Port Metro Vancouver after a large container ship struck the dock.

The incident involving the vessel “CMA CGM Attila” occurred Wednesday morning at the DP World Centerm container terminal near Crab Park in the Downtown Eastside.

The extent of any damage is unknown. The vessel was built in 2011 and currently flies under the flag of Malta. Before it arrived in Vancouver, it was in Seattle, Singapore and Beilun, China.  The size is 321 x 43 m.
