Feeling constantly hungry and tired?   Maybe you need to make the Sugar Shift.  At 6:45 certified health & wellness coach and nutrition consultant Michelle MacLean shares how she cut sugar from her life – and how she can help you do the same.

Dogs of all shapes and sizes are getting ready to make a splash this weekend at the annual Halifax Kennel Club Dog show. It’s the 70th year for the event and at 7:15 we’ll talk with an organizer about a new element this year and how it will open up the event to more dogs.

Heading back to school?  Finding the right back pack can take a  load off.  Cliff Pratt of MEC Halifax will be here at 7:45 to show us how to find and wear a backpack for maximum comfort .  Yes, size matters.

It’s sunflower season!  At 8:15 Susan MacIntosh of Props Floral Design creates sunny arrangements for our Stems with Susan segment.

At 8:45 we’ll get a preview of the 5th Annual Halifax Urban Folk Festival with a performance from singer-songwriter Steve Poltz. The veteran musician was born in Halifax but has lived and  played all over the world.  He still considers The Carleton a home away from home and has a big show there Thursday night.
