UPDATE: Penticton man killed in UTV crash identified

UPDATE: The victim has been identified as Kyle Hardisty.  A memorial page has been set up on Facebook. 

PENTICTON — One man died of his injuries following a Utility Terrain Vehicle (UTV) crash in Penticton on Saturday morning.

Mounties went to the scene of the crash involving a vehicle and the UTV on the 201 Forest Service Road and found a 32-year-old Penticton man suffering from serious injuries.

After an initial investigation, RCMP believe the man was a passenger in the UTV and was thrown from the vehicle in the crash.

The man’s condition quickly worsened and investigators performed CPR until paramedics arrived. He as rushed to hospital in critical condition but later died of his injuries.

Police are investigating the crash and are asking anyone who may have witnessed the incident to contact Penticton RCMP.
