CALGARY- An elderly woman has died after a crash near Irricana on Thursday.
EMS were called around 10:30 a.m. to the intersection of Highway 566 and Highway 9, where a semi and a Ford Fusion collided. It’s believed the Ford crossed into the path of the oncoming semi.

A woman in her late 70s was airlifted to Foothills Hospital in Calgary by STARS in critical condition, but died from her injuries a short time later.
A man in his mid-70s was also transported to hospital, and is listed in stable, non life-threatening condition.
The driver of the semi -truck sustained minor injuries.
RCMP say no charges are expected.
