PELICAN NARROWS, Sask. – A toddler who was reported missing to Saskatchewan RCMP almost 24 hours after last being seen is in the care of Social Services. He was found wearing only a t-shirt.
Pelican Narrows Mounties were alerted the two-year-old boy was missing around 1 p.m. Sunday. He was last seen around 3 p.m. Saturday.
All members of the detachment searched the residence and the area where the child was last.
The toddler was located around 2:45 p.m. by two men who had walked into the bush line to begin searching for him. The child was sitting just over one kilometre behind Opawikoscikan School in an area referred to as the “ski hill.”
The child was taken to Angelique Health Centre for treatment of minor cuts and bug bites but otherwise police say the child is in good health.
The overnight temperature was about 19 C.
Pelican Narrows is approximately 510 kilometres northeast of Saskatoon.
