TORONTO – Hamilton police have arrested an 18-year-old teenager in connection to a fatal stabbing of a 14-year-old boy late Monday night.
Police say they responded to a call for a disturbance around 9:55 p.m. in the area of Lincoln Avenue and Gordon Street where they found the victim with a stab wound.
He was rushed to hospital with vital signs absent and was pronounced dead a short time later.
Police believe that the two parties involved were known to each other.
The suspect has been identified as Brodie Nicholls of Hamilton and has been charged with second degree murder.
He is schedule to appear in court Tuesday afternoon.
Police are urging anyone who may have knowledge of the incident to come forward.
