CALGARY – Police are investigating a case of road rage in the city’s southeast on Wednesday that turned violent.
It started at an Esso along McKenzie Lake Boulevard S.E. around 9:30 p.m. Officers say passengers in one vehicle got into a verbal argument with passengers in another car.
As the first car exited the gas station, it was followed by the second vehicle.
Eventually, the situation escalated to the point that one of the passengers fired a pellet gun at the other vehicle, shattering two windows.
One person was taken to hospital with minor head injuries.
Police tracked down the other car involved and took all three people inside in for questioning, seizing the pellet gun and also bear spray found inside the vehicle.
Police say the passengers in both vehicles were known to each other.
Saadullah Bhatti, 18, and Armanjot Dhaliwal, 18, both of Calgary have since been charged in the incident.
