The driver fled the scene.

RCMP announced today that a man came forward on August 9 and identified himself as the driver.

Police say he is co-operating with their investigation but they are still hoping to speak with witnesses.

“Even with this new development, we still need anyone with any information, no matter how minor you may think it is, to tell investigators what you know,” said Corporal Jamie Chung. “Sometimes the most ‘trivial’ evidence can impact an investigation enormously, and only investigators can determine the value of the information you may have.”
