VANCOUVER – Homicide investigators are investigating what appears to be Surrey’s latest murder.
One man is dead and another was arrested Tuesday afternoon at a home near 140 Street and 60 Avenue.
9-1-1 calls came in to police just after noon.
IHIT is confirming the suspect and the victim knew each other bu are not saying how they are connected.
Superintendent Dave Attfield with the Surrey RCMP says they have several witnesses who are cooperating with police.
One witness told Global News that they heard a ‘pop’ from the rear of an older home and trailer and that is when they called police.
“Well when I left the premises, I heard a pop so I paid no mind and went down to the end of the laneway,” said Rob, who did not want his last name used. “So I got on to the street and that’s why I saw all the police and the fire and ambulance just flying right by me. I turned back around because I saw them stop in front of my home, went back up to the street and police came out of their cars, with their hands on their holsters, and told me to get back into my house. To keep my family safe.”
