TORONTO — Robin Williams, who died Monday, had a long and varied career on the big screen.

Good Will Hunting (1997)
Williams played Dr. Sean Maguire in this drama starring Matt Damon and Ben Affleck. Primarily filmed in Toronto, Good Will Hunting earned Williams an Oscar for Best Supporting Actor.
Good Morning, Vietnam (1987)
In this comedy drama set during the Vietnam war, Williams played an Armed Forces Radio Service DJ who is popular with the troops but a not so popular with his superiors. His performance earned an Oscar nomination for Best Actor.
Patch Adams (1998)
Savaged by critics but a box office success, this comedy drama starred Williams as real-life Dr. Hunter “Patch” Adams, who commits himself to a mental health institution and learns that laughter truly is the best medicine. Williams earned a Golden Globe nomination for his work.
Dead Poet’s Society (1989)
Williams earned an Oscar nod for Best Actor for playing an English teacher at a conservative private school who uses poetry to inspire his aristocratic students.
The Birdcage (1996)
