Missing ‘Doudou’ found after Facebook post goes viral

MONTREAL — Just over 24 hours after posting an appeal on social media, a little girl from Quebec has been reunited with her missing stuffed lamb.

“Congratulations to the internet,” International Balloon Festival of Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu organizers tweeted just after 7:30 p.m. on Monday evening. “The famous Doudou has been returned to her owner.”

It all began when Evelyne Mireault’s daughter lost her “toutou” (French for stuffed animal) at the International Balloon Festival on Saturday.

Mireault posted a photo on Facebook on Sunday with the words: “We’ll see if Facebook is magic. Share my message please.”
