Day one of Squamish festival in the books

The first day of the Squamish Valley Music Festival came and went with plenty of good music and a minimum of logistical problems.

A few people complained to Global News about the wait for a shuttle bus, but otherwise had good things to say about the first day of the expanded festival site, which can now fit more than 15,000 campers.

The first night was headlined by Bruno Mars, who performed for an estimated crowd of more than 30,000 people.

The festival continues Saturday with performances by Arcade Fire, Broken Bells, the Sam Roberts Band and many others.
