TORONTO – A landslide in North Salt Lake, Utah, claimed the home of at least one family on Tuesday morning.
According to local news reports, 27 homes in the area were evacuated, though all but three have been allowed to return home.
The landslide began slowly, but soon had destroyed a retaining wall and damaged a nearby tennis court and swim club.
Residents in the area say that they noticed earth around the home moving about a week ago when a developer began to prepare several lots at the top of the hill.
