PRINCE ALBAERT, Sask. – According to Saskatchewan Lotteries, a woman won a quarter of a million dollars last month.

It all started when Sylvia Kachaluba bought a $6 Lotto Max ticket at Giant Tiger on 32nd Street West in Prince Albert, Sask.

A few days after the draw on July 25 she checked at the store to her surprise.

“The retailers started jumping up and down,” said Kachaluba.

“I thought, ‘why are they jumping? I probably only won two dollars’.”

The ticket had actually won her $250,000.

Kachaluba plans to use the money for bills and maybe for a new home.
