REGINA –  Police are investigating after two girls say they were invited into a stranger’s car to look for candy in northwest Regina.

Just before noon on Sunday, a seven and eight-year-old had gone to a friend’s house in the 1200 block of Baird Street to ask her to play. When they learned the friend was not home, they turned to leave and saw a man driving a car who they had earlier seen walking.

The girls tell police the man asked them to get inside the car to look for candy. Instead, they returned to the house they had just left to ask an adult for help.

The suspect is described as Caucasian with short dark-brown hair. He was wearing glasses and a blue plaid shirt. The silver car had four doors and a dent on the trunk.
