Two homes damaged in Whitehorn fire

CALGARY – An early morning fire in the northeast community of Whitehorn on Thursday caused damage to two homes.

Crews rushed to White Land Drive N.E. around 4 a.m.

The fire was so large that smoke and flames could be seen from McKnight Boulevard N.E., several blocks away.

“The majority of the damage started in the back and into the living room and roof,” explains Al Magwood from the Calgary Fire Department. “It also spread to the house on the right hand side.”
