MILLVILLE, N.B. – The RCMP say a blaze that destroyed the fire hall, town council chambers and firefighting equipment in a New Brunswick village is suspicious.
Volunteer firefighters from several nearby departments responded to the blaze in Millville, about 60 kilometres northwest of Fredericton, on Monday at about 3:30 a.m.
The Mounties say all the equipment inside of the building was destroyed, except for one fire truck that was on loan to the community of Nackawic after a blaze at that fire station just one week ago.
A vehicle had crashed into the fire hall in Nackawic, roughly 20 kilometres south of Millville, setting it ablaze.
No one was injured in either fire.
Police are asking anyone with information on the Millville fire to contact them.
