TORONTO – A 73-year-old woman has died of her injuries after being pulled from a fire in her apartment in Newmarket on Monday.
York Regional Police say the victim was located inside her third floor unit at 735 Stonehave Avenue and was transported to hospital in critical condition.

No one else was injured in the fire.
Police do not believe the death to be criminal in nature.
The Ontario Fire Marshall continues to investigate the cause of the fire.
