Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning has earned a reputation as a student of the game, a driven competitor, and a hard worker both on and off the practice field.

But strike up a little country music during morning warm-ups, and it’s a completely different story.

Manning, along with the rest of his teammates are currently in training camp at Dove Valley, Colorado.

The team usually kicks off their day with some stretches, while music blares over the loudspeakers.

But like he so often does with plays on game day, Manning audibled out of the usual morning song rotation.

His choice? Country ditty “Rocky Top”, one of the official state theme songs of Tennessee, where Manning played college ball.

The five-time NFL MVP then cut a rug (or a turf, as the case may be), busting out some down home country dance moves to his teammates delight.

And like a true team leader, Manning’s impromptu hoedown spread to his teammates.

Fellow University of Tennessee alum Britton Colquitt started dancing as well, accompanying Manning with a little “air banjo” while slot receiver Wes Welker also joined in the fun.

Next time, let’s hope he picks the state theme song of OMAHA!
